Writing Process Types of Writing MLA Style

Aloha and welcome to the Writing Resource Web Site!

This Web site was created as a resource for you to use any time you need assistance with any type of writing. You can use this Web site to help with writing assignments given in your other subjects not just your literature classes.

The Web site is divided into 3 main sections:

  1. Writing Process
  2. Types of Writing
  3. MLA Style

pencil graphicThe "Writing Process" section contains subheadings that can help you work through the writing process.

pencil graphicThe "Types of Writing" section lists 9 common types of writing and gives samples as well as rubrics that you can use when completing any one of those types of essays.

pencil graphicThe last section, "MLA Style," gives directions on how to correctly cite information from other sources in your writing and how to create a Works Cited page.

Because all writers are different and may need help at different points in completing an assignment, you can navigate through any part of the Web site at anytime. There is no particular order that you have to follow. Since this Web site refers to the Writer's Inc. text often, it would be recommended to use this site in conjunction with the text. If you have any questions or need more information or clarification on anything presented, please feel free to e-mail Mrs. Kelly Dukelow.
