| The award winning award winning ‘Ike Hawai‘i Distance Learning Program encourages all high school students to participate in a unique experience of connecting to their culture while building on their 21st century skills. Online, semester courses are offered in Hawaiian history, culture and literature. |
Students who successfully complete four or more courses will receive an ‘Ike Hawai‘i certificate and be eligible for internship opportunities with Kamehameha Schools Distance Learning Branch.
Upon satisfactory completion of each course, students will receive a Kamehameha Schools Distance Learning semester credit. Students are limited to enrollment in one course per semester. *Students need to check with their respective schools regarding credit transfers. |
Jerina Dement, KSDL intern, had the opportunity to use the skills that she learned to assist new students in the program and develop interactive learning materials. |
