Kamehameha Schools Distance Learning Branch is in the process of transforming the `Ike Hawai`i Program. We are excited to be working with the Hawai`i Virtual Learning Network and other collaborators to expand and offer `Ike Hawai`i courses in a variety of models. Due to this change in program format, we will only be offering the Hawaiian History course for the Fall 2011 semester. After the Fall 2011 semester, `Ike Hawai`i courses will be offered directly through the Hawai`i Virtual Learning Network and our collaborating schools. If you have questions regarding these program changes, please e-mail ikehawaii@ksbe.edu. |

The ‘Ike Hawai‘i Program uses a variety of internal evaluation tools to continually monitor how well the program goals and objectives are being met. In 2008-2009, the program also went through an external evaluation conducted by Pacific Resources for Education and Learning (PREL). PREL gathered data from staff, students and parents to determine the impact of the program and its courses on student learning. Click here to view a summary report which includes background information, report findings, student comments and recommendations by PREL. Parents and students will find the information in this summary both informative and affirming. |
