‘Ike Pono (Archived Content)

'Ike Pono was a television series that ran 2001–2005, distributed statewide via public access channels on each island, and it discussed topics related to education. It was intended for K–12 families and educators in Hawai'i, and hosted and moderated by Aaron Mersberg.

'Ike Pono was a collaboration between the Hawai'i Department of Education and the Kamehameha Schools.

Here are streaming video clips from each 30-minute show.

Kulāiwi (Video Lessons)

Kulāiwi is our most-requested resource, and for good reason: these online lessons offer a free, comprehensive guide on learning Hawaiian language. These lessons are an archived program hosted by ‘Ekela Kanī‘aupi‘o Crozier. We have a total of 24 lessons available online.

You can also download the workbook for the first 12 lessons here (PDF).

*Please note that workbooks for Lessons 13-30 are unavailable.
