Notes: Joan is a part-time instructional Support Specialist who assist with providing distance learning opportunities for the Hawaiian community through support of students, faculty and the Instructional Designers.  

She views distance learning as a way to bring education and communication between people and within families at home.  It provides unique opportunities to learn in a very personal way, yet allows the individual to reach out globally in ways not otherwise possible.
