Notes: Jaime Apo is a 1986 graduate of the Kamehameha Schools. She received her Bachelor's of Education degree from the University of Hawaiÿi at Manoa in December 1991 and her Master's degree in Curriculum Studies in December 2007. She began her teaching career at Pearl City High School in Pearl City, O'ahu.
In 1993, Jaime began teaching in the high school math department at the Kamehameha Schools. She has taught grades 9-12 and currently teaches Algebra 2, Discrete Math, and Probability and Statistics to juniors and seniors.
As an A‘o Makua PT Instructor, Jaime facilitates adult distance learning courses by incorporating distance learning pedagogy and the integration of Hawaiian cultural practices. She also encourages open communication with participants to create a virtual community.
In her spare time, Jaime enjoys watching and participating in sports activities across Honolulu. She coaches club volleyball and enjoys dancing hula as a member of the halau Ka Pā Hula 'Olapa. She is married (husband, Todd) and has two children (daughter, Cassidy & son, Jonah). |
