Hawaiian History Course
  • Navigation is clearly laid out on the left panel and is always visible while navigating through the course
  • Content is grouped into units, lessons and various activities all coded for organization (e.g. U3A1, Unit 3 Assignment 1)
  • Unit objectives are stated in the Introduction
  • Content is delivered through various media including videos, audio presentations, external Web sites, and readings.

Lessons provide varied approaches to assignments. The assignments that provide choices are indicated by a red push pin. These assignments focus on multiple intelligences and allow students to show their understanding linguistically, logically, or kinesthetically.

This example in Unit 5 gave students the opportunity to either do a Bio Cube or In his/her backpack. Here are two student examples from the course:
